We created a circuit that combines the dynamic characteristics of a germanium-fuzz with the rich and powerful tone offered by a Muff-distortion pedal. By using silicon transistors in the appropriate architecture, we managed to achieve the ideal sound from both of these ‘worlds.’ With a three-position switch, we provide the ability to finely tune the low frequencies, a function crucial for switching between single-coil and double-coil (humbucker) pickups on a guitar.
